Ed's Odissey: Becoming

interative video

Becoming: Ed’s Odyssey is an interactive video project that explores identity as something constantly shifting rather than fixed. Centered around the figure of “Ed,” the work treats the character not as a defined person, but as a container—one that absorbs, reflects, and transforms through interaction.

The piece exists as a looping visual environment where the audience plays an active role. As people move through the space, their presence begins to influence the visuals, subtly altering each iteration of the loop. No version is exactly the same. The work evolves in real time, shaped by those who engage with it.

Through this process, the boundary between viewer and artwork begins to blur. Participants are not just observing—they are contributing, becoming part of the system itself. Each interaction adds a layer, reinforcing the idea that identity is built over time through experience, environment, and exchange.

This project continues an ongoing exploration of Ed as a flexible figure—one that can hold multiple meanings and perspectives at once. Rather than offering a single narrative, Becoming: Ed’s Odyssey creates space for reflection, allowing each person to interpret and experience the work in their own way.
